If the scan finds something

You do not have to fix it alone

Most scans turn something up. The question is what happens next. Upgrade to the Pro plugin for a deeper scan, more often, with guidance. Or move onto Guaranteed, our managed hosting and security service: our experts clean what the scan finds, then keep it covered from that day on.

Common questions

Questions before you start

Is the scanner really free?
Yes. The scanner plugin is free for anyone, on any WordPress site, with no plan needed. You download it, install it and run your own scans from your own dashboard.
Do I need to know any code?
No. If you can log in to your WordPress dashboard, you can install and run the scanner. The four steps above are the whole job, and you only do it once.
Where does the scan actually run?
On your own site, from inside your own dashboard, which is where the real information is. Nothing runs on our website, and we never ask you to paste your site into a form here.
Will it slow my site down?
The scanner runs its checks and reports back, then sits quietly. You are always in control and can deactivate or remove it whenever you like, the same as any other plugin.
Do I need a paid plan to use it?
No. The free scanner is self-serve and stays free. Pro and Guaranteed are optional upgrades for deeper scans and, on Guaranteed, our experts taking action for you.
What if the scan finds a problem?
You get a plain-English report so you know exactly where you stand. You can act on it yourself, or move onto the Pro plugin for guidance, or Guaranteed, where our experts clean what the scan finds and keep your site covered from that day on.
